CHANGING LIVES ACROSS THE WORLD FOR MORE THAN 61 YEARS

Posted January 19, 2023

“We believe that God’s Word is alive, and when you give somebody God’s Word, which is what’s in these Scripture booklets, that it changes lives for eternity. It’s an eternal change in a person’s life, so we think that this is the most important thing that we can be doing,” explains Harold Mack, World Missionary Press President.

World Missionary Press (WMP) is an interdenominational faith ministry producing Scripture booklets in 350 languages and growing, along with Bible study booklets and New Testament booklets in a variety of languages.

They produce approximately 8 million Scripture booklets each month to send out free of charge, for multiplied nations of the world where materials are not readily available or affordable. To date, they have sent literature by request into 210 countries and islands of the world.

To keep the ministry going strong for more than 61 years, WMP has relied on their solid faith-based mission, their dedicated team of employees and volunteers, and generous gifts from their valued donors.

With the rising cost of raw materials such as rolls of paper jumping up 25% in recent years, their need for donations has increased. Thanks to faithful partners, they have been able to put together their current fund-raising effort called the Founders Challenge. This challenge is named for WMP founders Watson and Rose Goodman, and their heart for Africa.

During the Goodman’s missionary career in South Africa, God gave them firsthand experience with the worldwide hunger and the need for God’s Word in printed form. They began meeting that need on a small scale while on the mission field, and in 1961 they came home to begin their larger WMP ministry.

The need for paper missionaries continues to grow, even in this digital age! But for those looking for digital resources, WMP offers more than 300 booklets available for reading on their app, and on their website.
