TCU CELEBRATES 90 YEARS OF COMMITMENT TO ITS MEMBERS
Posted September 9, 2021
Ninety years ago, a small group of teachers pooled their savings to lend to others in need of credit. Since that time, TCU has grown to serve people from all walks of life on its way to becoming Indiana’s largest credit union. But the focus has remained the same: To help members achieve their financial goals by offering honest advice and personal service.
As a non-profit credit union, TCU invests in its members by returning its earnings in the form of better rates, lower fees and enhanced products and more convenient banking technology to benefit individuals and businesses across Indiana and Southwest Michigan.
The investments TCU makes run deeper than day-to-day banking. TCU believes in being part of the communities it serves to make them great places to live and work. To that end, TCU shows its local commitment by supporting towns, schools and service organizations through volunteerism and financial support in the form of donations and more than $750,000 a year in grants from TCU Foundation.
TCU’s commitment to its members’ financial well-being has never been stronger than during the ongoing pandemic, as the credit union provided financial relief and other assistance to more than 50,000 members facing financial hardship.
TCU is proud of its 90-year history, of its members and of the communities it serves, and looks forward to helping members achieve their financial goals well into the future.
